FAQ

  • What is electronic publishing? Repurposing print media such as charts, spreadsheets, books, etc. as internet or intranet pages. May be printed on demand by individual viewing electronic file. Searchable by contents, index, and every word.
  • Which Print Method Is Recommended? Electronic publications eliminate press charges. Internet publications are always available. Digitized less expensive: no halftone (photo charges). Offset more economical for color runs.
  • What Proofs Are Used? Internet proofs are email hot linked to our site or yours for your personal review. Print proofs are faxed, emailed, or delivered in person.
  • What Binding Methods Are Available? Saddle stitched (stapled), GBC (plastic or wire bound), or Perfect Bound (cover wrapped around pages and glued)
  • Should The Pages Print On Both Sides? More economical, since each sheet contains two impressions. Double-sided (1/1=ink printing both sides) Single-sided (1/0)=ink printing one side)
  • Recommended Paper Weight? Cover Weight=67#, 65#, or 80# may used for front and back covers; coated or uncoated. Offset or Text Weight=20#, 60#, or 70# for inner pages.
